A maze learning test for the assessment of memory with physically disabled patientsNuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford
Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford A test of memory which did not involve manual dexterity was felt to be necessary for use with severely physically disabled people, who are unable to draw and have insufficient vision to complete standardized tests or have communication problems. A maze test was designed which was found to be a valid measure of memory and to have adequate test-retest reliability. Non-brain damaged orthopaedic inpatients were assessed to obtain test norms, which are categorized according to three levels of intelligence.
