An unusual method of managing a difficult pressure sore

A patient with multiple sclerosis developed an awkward perineal pressure sore, which was difficult to manage not only because of its site, but also because severe muscle spasm caused great difficulty in positioning. A hoist used in an unusual way enabled the sore to heal satisfactorily.
